INTRODUCTION
A dressmaker is a person who makes clothing and is also called a Tailor. Clothing is one of the basic needs of human being as people are becoming fashion conscious. The sewing of garment changes with the changes in garment industry. Hence keeping in view the market demand and the change in fashion design, courses on dressmaking has been suitably designed in the structure of formal education. The beneficiaries are new literates and people with low education levels. Besides; in Pakistani tradition, girls/women are expected to know tailoring to fulfil the basic sewing requirement at home. Sewing of garments at home is a money saving
CoRE competencies
After completion of training the trainees will be able to:
- Identify and take care of the various tools and equipment used in drafting, cutting and tailoring.
- Identify and practice basic (temporary and permanent) and decorative stitches.
- Take body measurements (length, width and circumference) systematically.
- Master the use of sewing machine and take care of the machine.
- Follow precautions while using a machine.
- Make different types of seams using bias, piping and facing and plackets.
- Perform hand stitching Attach hook and eye and attach buttons, button hole etc.
- Follow rules of pattern making, layout and fabric estimation.
- Design, draft, pattern making cutting, sewing and finishing of the garments.
- Fold, iron, pack and cost evaluation of stitched garment.

- Module 1: Analyses the Design
- Module 2: Prepare for Dress Making Operation
- Module 3: Develop Pattern
- Module 4: Perform Fabric Cutting
- Module 5: Perform Stitching
- Module 6: Finish the Garment
- Module 7: Develop Professionalism

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA
- Primary preferably Middle.
HAIR AND BEAUTY SERVICES LEVEL II
Introduction
The purpose of the training is to provide skilled and motivated manpower to improve the Cosmetics and Beauty Industry. This will result in provision of improved services to the ever increasing cliental of Cosmetics and Beauty Therapy sector. The trainee will be able to provide beauty and beauty therapy services on modern lines using latest techniques in a professional manner. It will also create job, as well as, business opportunities for the graduates and shall significantly contribute to the country’s economic growth.

At the end of the course, the trainee must have attained the following competencies:
- Apply Occupational Health & Safety Procedures at Workplace

- Perform Basic Hair Styling (women/Men)
- Perform Hair Removal (Women/men)
- Carry out Basic Hair treatments (Women/men)
- Perform Basic Facial (Women/men)
- Perform Basic Makeup (Women/Men)
- Perform Manicure & Pedicure (Women/Men)
- Perform Massage Therapy ( Women/Men)
Duration of the course
This course duration is six (06) months. The proposed curriculum is composed of 06 modules, which will be delivered over 896 hours i.e. six (06) months.
The distribution of training hours is as follows:
- Total Training hours = 800 Hours
- b) Theory = 160 Hours (20%)
- c) Practical = 640 Hours (80%)

The curriculum for Beauty and Hair Services, consists of six (10) modules. The delivery of the modules (sequence) is suggested as follows:
- Module-1: Apply Occupational Health & Safety Procedures at Workplace
- Module-2: Develop Professionalism
- Module-3: Perform Basic Hair Styling
- Module-4: Perform Hair Removal
- Module-5: Carry out Basic Hair treatments
- Module-6: Perform Basic Facial

- Module-9: Perform Massage Therapy·
- Module-10: Apply Henna Tattoos

COMPUTER OPERATOR LEVEL II
Introduction
Day by day use of computers is growing rapidly in Pakistan. In every city, town, village, market, office, school, bank, shop, hospital, home etc., we can see increasing numbers of computers. As the number of computers the need of computer operators is growing. Employment as a computer operator is projected to grow rapidly because advancement in technology is causing an even bigger demand for duties performed by computer operators. Moreover, as computers are very common and everybody wants to learn more about computers, the demand for computer skills and knowledge has increased in all sectors of economy. This modular training programme is based on the job required to be performed by a computer operator in nearly every sort of industries nowadays. The course is mostly focused on the General Computer Applications.
